Remembering Pulwama Martyrs

            Remembering Pulwama Martyrs

In the Ja nuary of 2019, everybody was in the "How's the Josh" mood. Uri, the movie was on fire🔥. Afterall it was the first surgical strike Indian army had performed.
Then on feb 14th, when most of the Indians were busy with their loved ones, news channels suddenly flashed news coming from Awantipora in Kashmir. A suicide bomber with 100kg of explosive blasted a CRPF vehicles carrying 42 CRPF jawans. Indians got chilled down to their spine as they sat glued to their televisions. Images of the jawans singing dancing and suddenly the bomb exploding them must have crossed the mind of every good Indian. Their bodies were ripped apart and with great difficulty I tell you that not a single body could be recovered in it's full form.
Everybody was still in the grip of Uri the movie. The word surgical strike had gained such huge popularity that people wanted surgical strike 2. People took out candle marches in solidarity with the departed brave souls.
The echo of this huge vibration of each Indian's heart could be heard till Pakistan and no doubt, that country was under the shadow of dark gray clouds. Export duty increased, travel bus to Pakistan halted, India removed the country from it's favourite list. Yet no Indian could be satisfied with such measures, however diplomatic they may be.
The tears of the mothers who lost their dear son, the bride waiting for the big day, the infant waiting to receive the first father's touch, the newly wed wife whose wait was never going to cease......every single Indian was in the same state of mind. They wanted to teach Pakistan a lesson...they wanted another surgical strike!
Every Modi supporter and Modi Hater prayed for the same...to give Pakistan a reply in a language it understood.
This thunder calmed on 26th February 2019 with the Balakot Air Strike.
Pakistan was already messed up with all the problems it had invited and could hardly imagine this retaliation. It was shell shocked. Almost 300-350 militants were dead. It was hard for Pakistan to digest this and to obviously to maintain it's international status, it "had" to hide the reality. For many days the authorities shifted their explanation to media from "nothing happened in Balakot" to " the jet fighters hit the trees". And what not.
Then on, India has changed it's strategies,  given free hand to jawans and turned sterner towards Pakistan.

We pay respect to all the departed souls of Pulwama attack and their families. You have been very strong and we can do nothing but stand with you.
